Question by harishrvt: How to delete a virus from System Restore ? my anti virus detected a virus in my system restore directory . in spite of deleting it , the file keeps returning . So what is the safe way to get rid of the virus ? Best answer:

Answer by scotty3281You have to turn off System Restore. I know it is a pain to do because you lose all restore points but it is the only way. After you turn it off do another scan to make sure everything is all right. (To turn off system restore: right-click on my computer, go to properties and click the system restore tab.)

Question by manuel m: How do I delete virus infected files found on my computer by the Yahoo antivirus protection system? I have the anti-virus protection service provided by Yahoo. It found 3 files infected by the virus when I ran it to scan my computer. However, it does not give me the option to kill the virus or delete the files. The files/viruses are still in my computer. How do I delete the infected files? Do I need to get another (real?) virus protection software or should the Yahoo version be sufficient? Thanks so much! Best answer:

Answer by KarzIt look like what you have is just a scanner. Get a complete anti-virus software. Lots of freeware here: http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads29.html

Question by : How do you delete a virus detected and left untreated by an antivirus program? I have Kasperksy Internet Security and the scan log reads "detected: HEUR:Exploit.Script.Generic" and right below that it says "untreated: HEUR:Exploit.Script.Generic." I looked for the folder where Kaspersky says the virus is located, but the folder does not exist. Has anyone else experienced this? How do you delete this virus? Thanks in advance. Ever since Kaspersky detected this, Internet Explorer is unresponsive and I am unable to view any web page without Explorer freezing up. Best answer:

Question by yummymummy: How do I delete computer passwords from a different user on my computer? I have been given a Dell computer from my sister. However, her former husband set up his account on this computer (says he cannot remember the password), making himself the only administrator. Now, I cannot add any programs ( like iTunes), nor can I delete anything. How can I clear his passwords from this computer, and make myself the administrator? I am afraid that I shall have to delete everything, then begin again (ugh!) That would mean buying new programs, installing them and so on. Any ideas? Best answer:
