The Unreal Development Kit (UDK), Epic Games’ free edition of Unreal Engine 3, has been installed by more than 900000 developers. Powering independent games like “Hawken” and “Sanctum” for PC, and “The Dark Meadow” and “Save Our Sheep” for iOS, its feature set continues to evolve in preparation for the next generation of games. Epic has continued to release major new functionality and improvements to the Unreal Development Kit, with many important new features introduced in recent months. Anyone can check out the Unreal Engine tools for free at www.udk.com/download.

    @destrierofdark Dick.

  5. SuperGamer87 Says:

    @IndieGameDesigner $50,000 (or more) – 25% = $37,500+ more than what I’m making now.

    Sounds like a fair deal to me, considering that I’m sitting here eating ramen noodles right now.

  6. esponert105 Says:

    @IndieGameDesigner still complaining? its completely free! yes up to $50k sales!, as if you will reach that sales. they are actually very generous on the terms considering you dont need to hire a team of programmers to build an engine. a single person can actually produce a game using udk

  7. destrierofdark Says:

    @GOOB3000 Nah. Just dealing with crap parents.

  8. Whitehorze Says:

    @IndieGameDesigner My “BS Lies” are based on my personal experience with the crash, freeze, memory looping, and bluescreen prone P.O.S. called Vista and now Win 7 (which hasn’t so much as hiccuped in over a year).

    Congratulations on being a Developer (so you say)… Now post a video or two and show us how much smarter you are than all the rest of us mere mortals…

  9. Cobac Says:

    @IndieGameDesigner you could talk to them about a license :) at least you have UDK , better than NOTHING or Unity3d

  10. IndieGameDesigner Says:

    @GodlyMiller I’m sorry but $50,000 is a such small amount of money and wouldnt even cover development costs of a game, even a simple indie game. It wouldnt even pay the wages for one decent programmer, it wouldnt even cover legal costs. Anyway, it’s not the $50,000. Thats NOT the problem, it’s the perpetual 25% tax on ALL sales after $50,000 which IS a problem. They should taper the amount down after $100,000 then $200,000 sales etc.

  11. GOOB3000 Says:

    @destrierofdark Twat.

  12. GodlyMiller Says:

    @IndieGameDesigner I’d be fine paying that if I fucking made $50,000.

  13. SinSirVision Says:

  18. destrierofdark Says:

  19. destrierofdark Says:

    @Mmonsoon326 That sucks.

  20. destrierofdark Says:

  21. destrierofdark Says:

    @S3b1Videos Wrong.

  22. destrierofdark Says:

    @Whitehorze Unless he is to test something, such as testing if it actually lags or if it fucks Vista up.

  23. destrierofdark Says:

    @TheKenneth1207 This program can not not be on PC.

  24. destrierofdark Says:
