Frank Zappa explains the decline and fall of the music business and comes to a surprising conclusion that the older generation was better for pushing new wave music that they didn’t understand than the supposedly younger/hipper music executives.

yeah, but not rap in general, just mindless rap..there is a lot of thoughtful, deep rap..the kind you’ll never find on tv or radio.

I’d rather call it common sense.

I’m not for censorship, but if the pmrc wanted to bleep out all the lyrics by these shitty popular bands, I say good riddance. Why’d they have to take out all the good stuff about sex and blood and leave us with a hundred artists wailing about their teenage boyfriends?

  6. axeofgod72 Says:

where was the pmrc after the niggers took over? you don’t see metalheads killing metalheads… if ANY music needs to be regulated, it’s this gangsta garbage… compared to these fools, even the so-called “satanists” appear peaceful… i’m not even racist… my fiancee is not a “white” woman… and even she hates that nigger shit… peace, love, and death metal…

Frank Zappa! pure words of wisdom

I agree with you partly, it’s good because it’s a free way of distribution/exposure BUT it doesn’t stop people downloading stuff for free! Another thing is, it’s not healthy for nearly everyone trying to be musical artists, the state of music today is awful. Too many overnight sensations as opposed to depth and substance even the bands of today are trash. The internet has it’s pros and cons but the shit bands get the applause where as great music will go unseen, depth and talent is 1 in a million

  11. MistahhB Says:

I disagree. I think he would love it because it takes ou the “hip guy” on the record labels. The internet gives the people the chance to judge, not they guys in the recording labels office.

  12. nateman12 Says:

lmao the bleeped out masturbation are u serious…

  13. geoffstockton Says:

You must not have paid much attention to 9-11. It wasn’t republicans any more than democrats but it was members of our government and industry under the control of the banking cartel.

  14. Marlowann Says:

Wether or not masturbation is acceptable, anybody who needs to be taught how to do it is a complete idiot.

  15. Marlowann Says:

    Anger and over-zealousness.

You may be right, but I think it was a step in the right direction

How is 911 the republican parties fault. It was MUSLIM EXTREMIST TERRORISTs who caused it. The same people you democrats want tried in a civilian court. And the terrorists we are fighting are muslims primarily. Nothing personal against muslims, but I have no respect political correctness.

  21. Blueindiefree Says:

@WestFLinfidel Really, I don’t see republicans trying to push religions out of schools. I also don’t see republicans pushing it so that even your text messages have to be politically correct. Also your great Barack Obama will be lucky if he doesnt cause America three times the damage Bush did.

  22. youvebeenthunderstru Says:

Tell me what’s worse: the word “masturbation” or blocking it out with a high-pitched noise. Yeah, the second. Just allow people to say the god damn words already.

  23. danielrossall Says:

he would despise it im sure, it’s inundated with too many people “trying” to make music as opposed to “making” music

  24. ProfanationXXX Says:

    :38…or phone sex

  25. JekyllBoote Says:

    @UpMyOwn

No. Rage Against The Machine are also hyped-up crap who actually share the same record company as the “supermarket music” X-Factor act.

You have been well and truly conned!
