Sounds like it’s time to draw up your plan. What a fun idea and I wish you all the best. The big three planning steps are…
    1) How are you going to do what??
Will you be selling cupcakes online, or out of a shop/.house, maybe by phone?
Do you need permiting? Are there City/State mandates?
Who is gonna provide the initial resources?
Which leads us to step 2) Finances
This step is pretty straight forward/ Do you need to call in a favor from the bank manager, check under the bed or ROB the bank?
The overhead in this type of venture doesn’t seem to be exhorbant but watch out because with out a budget on a TIGHT leash things can get out of hand pretty quick. Startup followed by advertising will most likely be the source of your pocketbook aches.
    3) How to get a hold of your customers/Advertising?
Will you rely on word of mouth for the first months/year?
Do you have a friend in print/movies/radio/smoke signals?
Can you draw or create a logo that will catch a Hansel AND Gretal?
Consider these primary steps and realize that your answers will change daily!! Being flexible is the mark of a real go getter. You can assemble your liist in any order you like but try to tackle at least a few objectives DAILY. This is your surest way to stay clear of the “Gee I had a great idea once” mire. You can obtain most of your permits online and DO consider opening an LLC especially when partners and probably “personal” startup monies are involved.
