Been Made Redundant And Looking To Start A New Ironing Service Business – Advice Please?

Unfortunately I am being made redundant from my job in financial services – I am not having a lot of joy finding a new job so I have decided to set myself up in business. I have spent my whole life in financial services so my skills are limited to these.
One idea which is starting to appeal is an ironing service business. I have done my research, checked out the competition, priced supplies and start up costs.
What I am not sure about is the following …
A good business name and how I should start marketing myself – any clues anybody??
Also I would be interested to know if anyone uses such a service and what do you like about the service provider you are using

Advice On Setting Up A Small Business, Please.?

I am already self-employed as a quarter partner in a small business. However I am doing some separate work for myself and need to set up my own business so that my clients can pay me direct.
I imagine I just add any profit I make from my business to my self assessment, but is there anything else I should know? Where’s the best place to get advice? Thanks.

Setting Up Business,advice Needed Please >?

Basically wondering has anybody on here had any experience with angel investors (i.e) dragons den type investors?
basically been setting up a business for the last couple of months but my partner has had to pull out due to personal reasons and debt,now this is hard also because he says he needs to get on his feet again etc and we have done this together so i cant open this if i get investment and leave him without,as he will hate me and i have grown up with this guy and he is a good friend so do i let him in when he can get on his feet? real pickle on that one.
so with this i signed up to a well known investment site for potential investment in my business as it is not looking good going to a bank with the recent headlines,
within 1 week of my idea and business proposal going on this site I have had interest from a business man in UK who is very interested,i feel this is my last chance to make my dream happen,i have spent so much time and effort on this and it is a great idea i can give it up,i feel its my life to get out of the slums i live in and a chance at a happy life?

At the moment I work as a graphic designer for a small printing company that does vehicle wraps, signs, business cards and stuff like that. A friend and I are planning on starting a graphic design/web design side job type thing. Each of us do some freelance work on our own already.
I was talking to my boss about that and he’s fine with this idea-
Do you think it would be more beneficial to everyone if instead of making a new company with name/ and new client base, if we consider ourselves an addition to the company I work for now? Just advertise something like “Now offering web design services etc..”. We wouldn’t have to pay the owner of the company anything out of our profits; we would basically be doing our own thing during our own time. We would have a huge client base to tap into, made up of many businesses that are just starting out. Not trying to take advantage of them, just making things simpler for them. We’ve had several asking if we knew anyone who did websites. It seem more professional to advertise it than to wait for them to ask then say “Oh yeah, we do that” or tell them to call me later— Or devious to advertise my company while at work.
